SMOL.ID – Students of the Information and Public Relations Study Program, Vocational School, Diponegoro University, Semarang, successfully held a national photography competition, INP 2024 (Inhuman National Photography).
This event is open free of charge to pupils and students throughout Indonesia as a practical part of the Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) Management course.
Held online on February 5, 2024, INP 2024 offers the theme “Human Interest, Education through a Photography Lens,” encouraging participants to explore and capture interesting educational moments through photographic creativity.
Farrel Muhammad, Chief Executive, emphasized that this competition is expected to become a platform for photography enthusiasts to showcase their best work.
“INP 2024 is a photography art competition which is expected to become a stage for photography art enthusiasts who will take part directly by showing their best work,” he said.
“With the theme Human Interest, Education through the Lens of Photography. “The participants were asked to be creative in capturing special moments, which are by the theme,” added Agus Naryoso, a lecturer in the Mice course.
Judging was led by Soetomo, M.I.Kom, lecturer in the MICE Management course, who focused on technical and visual quality, harmony of themes, and originality of participants’ creative ideas.
“The assessment will be measured by technical and visual quality, harmony between the shots and the theme, as well as the creative concept of the participant’s ideas expressed in the submitted works,” he explained.
The competition winners received cash and e-certificates as appreciation for their contribution to conveying educational themes through photography.
“The existence of INP can certainly be a forum or medium that channels the interests and talents of photography art enthusiasts in honing their skills. “The participants are expected to be able to maximize their creativity in the photo work that will be contested,” said Farrell.
Sri Indrahti, Head of Undip’s Human Resources Study Program, expressed the hope that INP 2024 would become a favorable medium for honing and exploring the creative potential of the participants, as well as being a reflection of their contribution to the world of education through the art of photography. This competition tests technical skills and sensitivity in capturing the essence of education through the camera lens.
List of 2024 INP Champions:
1st place: Muhammad Ridwan Saputra from Sultan Agung Islamic High School 3, recognized for his work depicting education through a creative lens.
2nd place: Sifa Ayu Apriliani from SMA N 3 Semarang took second place with a brilliant photo and was full of emotion.
3rd place: Naufal Rifat Kurniawan, from Diponegoro University, won third place with his work, highlighting human interest aspects in education.
