Depok, May 20, 2025 – Students of the D4 – Information and Public Relations Program, Vocational School of Diponegoro University, have once again brought pride to their campus on the national stage. The PReburan team, consisting of Naufal Rifat Kurniawan, Khansa Raihana Rizki Amanda, Konrad Goddard Adiningrat, and Fauziah Aulia Irawan, won 3rd place in the National-Level “Public Relations Campaign” Competition organized by the Vocational Public Relations Student Association of Universitas Indonesia.

The competition, titled PRaction, was participated in by top university teams from across Indonesia. It consisted of two stages: an online proposal campaign selection phase, which concluded on April 29, 2025, and a final round in the form of a pitch deck presentation, held at Universitas Indonesia, Depok, on May 19, 2025, featuring six finalist teams. Other teams that advanced to the finals included Team BonBin from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Team Arafah from Universitas Padjadjaran, Team Seanarios from UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, Team I’VEWON CONSULTANT from LSPR, and Team Sea You, also from Diponegoro University.

In this prestigious event, Team PReburan presented a campaign titled KILAU #KitorangJAGALaut, a community-based marine conservation strategy focused on Kampung Mumes, Teluk Mayalibit District, Raja Ampat. The campaign addressed the issue of marine ecosystem degradation caused by human activities, the weakening implementation of the traditional Sasi custom, and the low economic conditions of coastal communities.

By combining educational strategies and entrepreneurial approaches, the KILAU program introduced various initiatives such as social media campaigns, the formation of Youth Nature Heroes, KilauPreneur Academy training, and the KilauPreneur Exhibition for local MSMEs. The campaign aimed to raise public awareness of the importance of marine conservation while creating sustainable alternative income sources.

This achievement is a testament to the fact that vocational students excel not only in theory but also in designing concrete and strategic solutions to real societal problems. Team PReburan hopes that this campaign idea will continue to grow and inspire further environmental conservation efforts in other coastal regions of Indonesia.
