SETARA Campaign Program Leads Undip Students to Win 1st Place in National PR Competition

BEKASI – The PReburan Team from Diponegoro University achieved an outstanding accomplishment by winning 1st Place at the national level in the VOXPR competition during the Vox Versum LSPR PR Competition 2025. The event, organized by the LSPR Institute’s Communication Student Association (HIMACOMM), took place from the preliminary round on August 1–9 to the final round at LSPR Transpark, Bekasi, on August 14, 2025, with winners announced on August 16, 2025.

The VOXPR competition, themed “Bridging the Gap: PR Campaign for Equal Education Opportunities,” challenged students to design public relations campaigns addressing educational inequality in Indonesia. The theme aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 4 (Quality Education) and No. 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

The PReburan team—comprising Naufal Rifat Kurniawan, Konrad Goddard Adiningrat, and Khansa Raihana Rizky Amanda—stood out with their campaign titled SETARA, which focused on the issue of unequal access to education in Wonosobo Regency, Central Java, influenced by geographical, economic, and social factors.

With a creative storytelling approach inspired by the wayang (traditional shadow puppet) character Arjuna, the SETARA campaign carried the message “Wayahe Kabeh Iso Setara” (“It’s Time for Everyone to Be Equal”) to raise awareness and community participation. The program featured strategies such as social media campaigns, the Garda Setara volunteer movement, educational scholarships, and the main event, the SETARA Learning Festival.

In the final round, the PReburan team competed against six other finalists, including teams from IPB and UNSOED, and successfully impressed the judges with their innovative and solution-oriented concept.

Konrad, representing the team, expressed his gratitude:

“We wanted to prove that strategic communication and PR campaigns can serve as a bridge to achieve equal education opportunities. This achievement is not only the result of our team’s hard work but also the strong support from our lecturers and the entire Diponegoro University Information and Public Relations academic community,” he said.

The PReburan team’s success not only brings pride to their program and university but also serves as an inspiration for the younger generation to become agents of change through impactful communication. Congratulations to Team PReburan on this remarkable achievement! May this milestone mark the beginning of continued creativity and inspiration.
