Semarang – The Bachelor of Information and Public Relations held a Table Manner Training for 2021 students. The event, which was held on September 9, 2022, was attended by 178 student participants at the Noorman Hotel, Semarang. Table Manner training focuses on how to shape personality when meeting with clients through sitting, walking, and serving procedures. This event is a training that is conducted periodically from year to year by the Study Program and must be attended by all Information and Public Relations students.

Agus Naryoso, S. Sos. M.Sc., as Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Study Program in his speech said that the Table Manner Training has several objectives, namely to equip students to support lobbying and negotiation competencies and increase student confidence in interpersonal communication practices, as well as train students in dressing, grooming, and also behave. He added that this activity is an implementation of MBKM, where students can gain knowledge and competencies related to personal development, interpersonal communication, and negotiation lobbying techniques outside campus.

Undip Vocational College, Information and Public Relations students batch 2021 as training participants wore a special dress code, namely a coat complete with loafers for men, and an evening gown for women. The determination of this dress code adjusts to the atmosphere that is built, namely the activity of entertaining guests / clients. Ramadhan, one of the students participating in the training said that this activity is the most awaited practice by students, where this training can provide a new atmosphere that can only be obtained outside the campus. For him, table manners knowledge and competence cannot be understood theoretically alone, but there needs to be direct implementation in the field. He hopes that with this activity, students will get a positive impact, both in terms of appearance, ethics, and also procedures for entertaining guests.
