KKL is a step taken by Vocational School Students at Undip to Align Classroom Knowledge with Field Conditions. Vocational School students at Diponegoro University (Undip) need to align the knowledge they receive in the classroom with real-world conditions.

As applied science students, understanding the current situation is also part of strengthening insights and developing scientific knowledge. This is why both students and lecturers need to make significant efforts.

“One of them is through Field Work Practice (Kuliah Kerja Lapangan – KKL),” said Jazimatul Husna SIP MIP, Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Study Program at the Undip Vocational School.

Recently, 158 students from the study program held KKL visits to several institutions, offices, and companies in the East Java and Bali regions.

Accompanied by four supervising lecturers led by Jazimatul Husna SIP MIP, they were divided into several groups.

The participants visited PT PAL Surabaya, the Tanjung Perak Surabaya Customs Office, Petra Christian University Surabaya, Suara Surabaya FM radio station, the Bali Main Unit of PLN (State Electricity Company), and the Badung Tourism Office.

“KKL is an academic journey for students to apply the knowledge they have learned during their studies,” she added.

Through this activity, students are expected to gain broader insights. This includes not only theoretical knowledge from the campus in the fields of information, archives, libraries, and public relations but also its application in the professional world. KKL is expected to open opportunities for students to understand industry dynamics and establish relationships with professionals in related fields.

Furthermore, it provides students with a wider understanding of managing data and documentation, as well as developing effective communication strategies within the industrial sector.

This activity is not only beneficial for students but can also be the beginning of sustainable academic and professional collaborations. The 2022 batch students also visited several places in Bali. This was an effort to deepen their love for the homeland through Indonesian culture and diversity, including Panglipuran Traditional Village, Melasti Beach with its Kecak Dance performance, Candi Kuning Bedugul temple, the Joger factory outlet center, as well as the Krisna and Blangsinga souvenir centers.
