The Information and Public Relations Study Program of the Vocational School at Diponegoro University Establishes Collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH) at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ)

The Information and Public Relations Study Program of the Vocational School at Diponegoro University conducted a visit to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH) at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) on Tuesday, 28 October 2025. The visit was held in connection with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and was attended by the Dean and lecturers of FISH UNJ at Building K, FISH UNJ.

During the visit, several key discussion points emerged that are valuable for learning development and curriculum enhancement within the Information and Public Relations program. The Dean of FISH UNJ, Firdaus Wajdi, M.A., Ph.D., welcomed the collaborative initiative and discussed potential joint efforts related to strategies for achieving an “Excellent” accreditation status from the Independent Accreditation Board for Social Sciences, Politics, Administration, and Communication (LAMSPAK). The Public Relations and Digital Communication Study Program at FISH UNJ had recently achieved this excellent accreditation status.

In addition to LAMSPAK accreditation, another important point of discussion was the strategy for optimizing the use of laboratory facilities for both students and lecturers. Although the laboratory rooms at FISH UNJ are still in the development stage, this has not hindered the program from achieving Excellent accreditation due to their creative utilization. Students are still able to participate effectively in coursework, particularly in photography and podcasting classes. We also had the opportunity to observe and study the integrated podcast and photography laboratory facilities, which may serve as valuable input for the Vocational School at Diponegoro University, especially in terms of future laboratory development.

Asep Soegiarto, M.Si., Coordinator of the Public Relations and Digital Communication Study Program at FISH UNJ, explained that beyond curriculum and educational facilities, it is essential for lecturers to conduct evaluations of student internships. This evaluation aims to ensure that the study program remains aligned with industry needs, enabling the preparation of graduates who are ready to enter the professional world.
